New Google announcements and features

How do you keep yourself informed on new things that google do? They seem to sneak new stuff in / take stuff away without me realising. I go to whatsnew.googleapps.com for updates but they only seem to update at the start of the month. e.g. I only just found out they have released merged cells for google docs the other day (On rapid release)

Subscribe to Google updates then you get an email everytime there is an announcement.

That was only a couple of days ago, so you're not too far behind.
