woreilly Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I have a RM Minibook 120 that gets stuck on the RM splash screen and will not go any further regardless of what buttons i press on the keyboard. I did a bit of googling and it suggested that the BIOS/CMOS battery may need replacing. However, I can't figure out where to get at it. I can remove the hard drive and ram easy enough but have no idea where the battery is located to be able to replace it
difinity Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 (edited) I've never worked on an RM 120, but looking at photos on the net, it seems you have to remove the screws from the bottom of the Minibook, remove the keyboard, undo the remaining screws then you can remove the top half of the laptop. As i can't see the BIOS battery in the photo, you'll have to remove the motherboard as it's on the bottom (as long as i'm looking at the right photo) I have had a look at couple of youtube videos and it looks like the battery is under the top part of the case.
