Hello all,

Imagine this scenario - pupils can e-mail a generic school e-mail account with any concerns they have. This e-mail account is then set to automatically forward everything to a staff member who can look into these concerns.

On her account I've setup a rule so any mail coming from the generic account automatically goes into a sub Inbox folder I've created for her. Does it work, no course it doesn't, it simply lands in the root of her Inbox. Any ideas as I've looked at this for 30 mins and I don't think it's me, rather O365 not doing what it's supposed to.

I sorted it. I created a forwarder on the generic account, then I created a rule on the staff account so:

When the message arrives, and:

It was sent to... generic account

Do the following:

Move the message to folder generic

Interestingly however, there are two places you can do this. The one that doesn't work (anything I tried), is within Options > Mail > Automatic processing > Inbox rules

The location it works is -

Delivery reports > organize mail > inbox rules

Any ideas?
