Never really understood festive cheese O.o What makes it especially festive?

I feel the same about festive nuts, esp brazils. I eat brazils all year round.

It seems that the only thing 'festive' about a lot of festive stuff is A) Red-and-white (even though other colours would usually be more appropriate), and B) It's only sold at Christmas (even though it's not seasonally-reliant produce)

Because I can buy large packs containing a variety of very nice cheeses (at a very reasonble price) and eat them all 'because it's Christmas'.
