TechMonkey Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Just gone to have a fiddle with our ubuntu box and found the error "module raid456 not found". Had a look around and there is one entry on the Ubuntu forum about a raid driver trying to start when raid isn't used but it is all beta patches or some such. Now as the box isn't hugely important, just a test box for playing with things we are thinking about implementing (but never do!), I was thinking it is easiest just to reinstall from a live CD & it would sort out the problem and leave the OS able to start without killing all the stuff we have put on? Am I right? Or alternativley if anyone knows what the error is on about! Ta
el8linuxel8 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Could be the raid kernel module not being loaded. Try modprobe raid456 as root. also: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-431070.html
