Windows Backup suddenly fails.

Hi, I hope someone can help me. We have a HP Proliant ML350 G6 server with Windows 2008 X64 R2 installed.

The backup is being done by build-in Windows Backup and scheduled to a USB portable drive.

This has always worked until a few days ago. The event log says Event ID 51 'An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk2\DR6 during a paging operation'.

When I disconnect the USB drive and cancelled the backup and reconnect the drive to another USB port it will work again for a few days until the same will happen again. The USB drive is healthy and just brand new. Any help is welcome. BR /Ben.
