Smee Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Morning I have just started to use Meraki and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction for a idiot guide when using with both ipads and android. My main issue is that I have enrolled the ipads (we have the grand total of 4!) but they have been used by individual teachers for the last god knows so have random free apps on them already but no consistency across the 4. I need to figure out if the best way of managing them, the ipads not the teachers (I gave up with them years ago) any suggestions gratefully accepted. thanks
danelliott87 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Wipe the ipads, and push out apps with Meraki. This was you can prevent users from deleting them. You can also remove the apps from the Meraki console if needed. 1
ITTony Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I have setup a standard backup of an ipad using itunes. It has no apps but has all the basic settings of how I want them setup. Any new ipads come in are wiped and have this image put on. Once meraki is installed the basic apps are automatically pushed out. We have setup tags for each department so once enrolled it is assign its tags and user. Then meraki will push out the specific apps for that department. Any questions feel free to ask I regulary bang my head off the wall with these Apple devices lol 1
