Harry1980 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Hi Everyone, I am having problems activating windows 7 Pro. I have reimaged a Fujitsu Lifebook A Series A544. We have bought 20 of these laptops. I have extracted the OEM certificate and product key using SLIC Toolkit. In the past I have successfully imported the OEM certificate and activated windows without a problem on HP laptops. I have used the following command, run as administrator in command prompt: Slmgr –ilc c:\FUJ_V2.1_Cert.xrm.ms This comes back with the following message: “On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run ‘slui.exe 0x2a 0xBBA’ to display the error text. Error: 0xBBA. I have looked up the error on the internet but not much help. Some people are saying to update the bios with the SLIC table (don’t really know how to do this). Some people have used the Slmgr.vbs –ilc c:\FUJ_V2.1_Cert.xrm.ms, when I use this it gives me back the same error message as above. I hope someone can assist. Thanks in advance. Harry
sted Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 if these are new pcs odds are the slic code in the bios is for windows 8.1 and windows 7 wont recognise it as with 8.1 its not a generic code each pc is supposed to have its own code on the bios (like the stickers). Its also a new version of slic. You probably need to get a windows 7 bios flash from Fuji though I have managed to "reimage" them from their own media but as I only had 4 I just fed them cds and did it manually
SHimmer45 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 if the lifebooks had windows 8 on them they will need a bios from Fujitsu to allow 7 to be installed its a complete pain in the arse.
Harry1980 Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 These laptops came with Windows 7 Pro installed. I thought I would create a master image and deploy them to the rest of the laptops, but stuck at the moment trying to active the master image laptop.
