iPad repair companies

Hello All

 

Does anybody know of a London/Essex based company who will repair ipad screensand we will need a company who dont insist on payment up front. All the companies i have contacted have not returned my emails when they find out we are a school!

I've just had a quote from foneangels.co.uk and they are very competitive on price. Not had my broken ipads picked up yet so cannot comment on service.

We get ours done at Timpson's - they probably aren't the cheapest, but they are within walking distance of the college - £100 for screen replacement - payment when job done - takes 7 days.

+1 for @Millgate who we have used before for both iPad and iPhone screen repairs. Pickup, Fix, Dropoff. No hassles!

 

(but I need to get a second quote now too, so I will keep an eye on this thread to see who else does it)

We used to use companies but the price is a stupid amount. £14 replacement kit on Amazon. Do it yourself in an hour job done! Very easy to replace, even I can do it!

We just got a decent heat gun from B & Q and do it ourselves with the replacement kits for under £20.

Done several of these myself, hair dryer and decent tools and was done in around 20 mins. I use one of these to remove the screens - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-71288-Soft-Grip-Chisel-Knife/dp/B00023T9U2/ref=sr_1_30?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1416324530&sr=1-30&keywords=scraper+knife as it gets under the screen and removes the old glue, just need to be careful where the ribbon cables are. Easy enough to do though.
