TightVNC

Hi,

 

We went to the RM Tech Seminars last Thursday and we are looking to change the default Remote Control option in the RM Mangement Console to something like TightVNC, I've installed it on my machine and on a couple machines in a IT classroom and it works fine by manually opening it and typing in the machine name. When I've tried changing the path in the RM Management Console to TightVNC to this "c:\Program Files\TightVNC\tvnviewer.exe /start:[computer]" I get the following message "Error in TightVNC Viewer: Connection parameters (host,port,socket,gates) is empty"

 

So I am obviously missing something somewhere maybe the [computer] part is wrong? Has anyone had any luck with this?

Unless it's changed there's no /start option etc for the viewer. It's just vncviewer.exe "host" (Unless ports etc changed)

 

There's a man page for it on their website somewhere one sec.

Thanks yeah doesn't need /start and [computer] needs to be in quotation marks

 

C:\Program Files\TightVNC\tvnviewer.exe "[computer]"
