Garacesh Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Got my pre-order placed (on Amazon, not via GAME.. I don't much care to pay extra for a special metal tin) I admit I was a little disappointed with X/Y and I'm really hoping these remakes aren't as easy.
Grey-gear Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I'm going to pre-order it as well I hear that there is a second story line in it as well as 14 legendary Pokémon from the other games.
Garacesh Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 According to the latest advert on YouTube, there are, yes. There's some new villain, and a lot of the Legies.. The 3 dogs are there, the 4 Regi's, the.. Other ones (You/Me/Us.. Uzie? Mespirit? I forget the other?).. Also more Mega Evolutions and also 'Primal Reversion' (they're really milking it now...) Mega Grovyle looks silly. It has a Christmas tree tail.. Mega Blaziken looks pretty cool, and Mega Swampert reminds me of the tank from L4D I downloaded the 'demo' as I pre-ordered on Amazon and got a code. It looks pretty good.
X-13 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I haven't done anything for this... I really can't be bothered. Ninty have the eshop, but are still doing time sensitive WiFi and physical events for things you can't get in-game [i.e 99% of the content] I think I'm done with pokemon...
Grey-gear Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Hopefully with the extra story stuff it will be fun, now that there are 3 new starters with a mega form I wonder if they will be doing the others as well or waiting for the next gen of games to do that.

Yeah, that does bug me a little, but I won't be buying into any of that lark anyway. I actually really enjoyed Ruby/Sapphire first time round, so it's partially the nostalgia. Hopefully with the extra story stuff it will be fun, now that there are 3 new starters with a mega form I wonder if they will be doing the others as well or waiting for the next gen of games to do that. Well they've already done Charizard (x2) Bulbasaur* and Squirtle*, Blaziken, Swampert, Grovyle, Lucario, Abomisnow, Gardevour.. Did they do the starters for X/Y? I think they did, but don't recall.. and probably a fair few more. I'd personally like to see Mega Eeveelutions. * I assume, since in X/Y when you pick a pokemon from Professor.. whoever.. he gives you the -ite for it, but I picked Charizard so I only know of Charizardite X/Y Edited November 17, 2014 by Garacesh
Grey-gear Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Given there already is a Mega Blaziken maybe there will be a second one like Charizard X & Charizard Y
CAM Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I'd personally like to see Mega Eeveelutions. I'd like to see the other elements get an Eeveelution first! I imagine Fighting would be a silly looking one though... Still haven't beaten the Elite Four though over four different copies of this game.
Garacesh Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 Given there already is a Mega Blaziken maybe there will be a second one like Charizard X & Charizard Y Maybe. I didn't actually bother raising my Torchic that I got with Y, though, so I don't know off the top of my head what X/Y Mega Blaziken looked like. I'd like to see the other elements get an Eeveelution first! I imagine Fighting would be a silly looking one though... Still haven't beaten the Elite Four though over four different copies of this game. Yeah, true. I'd love to see a Ghost-type Eevee. (Also just noticed your signature and alt-text. Ha. Nice )
CAM Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Reminds me I need to change it every Monday....
Garacesh Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 I'll stick with pokemon Blue You hipster genwunners
Grey-gear Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 So Got a copy and finding it fun, I do link the pokefind thing that helps you find the pokemon you want and has a chance of knowing a egg move. On top of that it the world so for has looked amazing.
Tesla Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 You hipster genwunners I'll be playing it on this bad boy.
Garacesh Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) Started it last night after I got home (been away all weekend.. should've taken it with me for the hour+ journey each way, really..), got about 20 minutes in and realised I needed to go to Tesco. Bah. Picked Mudkip, obviously*. Game looks awesome, and the few issues with low framerate on the top screen during battles that X/Y had seem to be sorted, but I've not done a whole lot of battling yet so we'll see. *Because A) Mudkip, and B) Mega Marshtomp looks awesome. Reminds me of the tank from L4D. Better than Christmas-tree-butt. Edited December 1, 2014 by Garacesh
Grey-gear Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 There is also a shiny pokemon you can get if you go through mystery gift
Garacesh Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 There is also a shiny pokemon you can get if you go through mystery gift Yeah, but, which pokemon? If it's like a Haunter, Ralts, Eevee, any starter, etc, gimme gimme gimme. If it's a Krabby (which incidentally is the one and only shiny I've ever encountered, if we're not counting 'the' Red Gyrados) then I'll pass
Grey-gear Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 it's a shiny beldum with the mega stone for it
Garacesh Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 Ooh I'm kind of okay with that actually..
Grey-gear Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 yeah I would be using it if I did not already have a Physic type in my team
