Help with NIC driver (Windows Server 2012)

Hi all,

 

Apologies if I have put this in the wrong area but I have been having a bit of a mad one trying to find a driver, I am well prepared to be told that the windows drivers for this device do not exist...

 

We have recently decommissioned an old apple Xserve server but I have recovered the old NICs as they are quite good and I would like to use them in my WDS server.

 

Does anyone know where (if it exists) the windows drivers are for one of these: Apple Xserve Dual Channel Gigagbit PCI-E Network Card 630-9873 A1317 NIC

Have you google searched it's ID string from it's device properties in device manager? Odds on if a driver exists that will turn it up.

Cheers for the reply, I have searched the ID via Google, the result was Intel 82579LM Gigabit driver but this didn't work either.

I remember, a few years a go, some PCI graphics cards for Mac that "only" needed firmware flashing for them to work on PC. My guess would be a firmware problem on the card and you're extremely unlikey to find the PC firmware outside of Intel.
