DalekSec Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Recently brought new fan to go into my computer, plugged it in blah blah blah and switched it on BAM lights... but not spinning. tried changing the speed in the bios but doesnt seem to have any affect. any ideas?
Bobby_Tables Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Do the other chassis fans spin? Does the PC boot up regardless? Is this the CPU fan or just an extra chassis fan? When you say "lights", do you mean there are LEDs built into the fan, or are you talking about the main power/activity lights for the whole PC? How have you connected the fan? Motherboard header or directly to the power supply? Do you have another fan you could connect to the same plug, to see whether the problem is with that particular fan?
Tesla Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Saw thread title, thought it was going to be a thread about teachers.
DalekSec Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 I seemed to have fixed it. Looking into the case it had no wires around it and I could push it around with a screwdriver though the bars, but as soon as I took the door off with the power running it sparked into life... strange, Must of been stuck on something. thanks anyway!
