Images Disappearing from Notebook 11.4 files

Has anyone experienced image files that were inserted into Smart Notebook files randomly disappearing? I have had this happen to 2 teachers in the last 2 weeks. They claim the files had been working then went to open them and all of the images they had inserted were gone. One teacher says this has happened to an older file, about 2 years old, and to one she had just created earlier in the week. I have been unable to turn up anything in web searches. The district is a Mac district running 10.9.5 and the teachers are using 13' Mac book Airs. The district is currently on Notebook 11.4.

I'm curious if you ever solved this? I have seen this issue in recent weeks. 3-4 teachers running Smart Notebook 11.4 and 15.2. Anyone else seen this or find a solution?

I had this a while back on 3 machines but upgrading to a new version fixed it.
