ITV Player will not accept location

We are trying to reach an ITV clip that was broadcast last night, it asks you to register/login which it accepts gracefully, however the next stage asks for location, which it attempts to find and then defaults to asking for a post code, which we provide and it fails with the message "Sorry, something went wrong". This occurs in both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Nothing is showing as being filtered (Smoothwall), all the web traffic from the user shows result codes 200 which suggest that the pages are being served up, however if we bypass the proxy the site works. Any thoughts about what might be happening?
