The OWA box is inside the firewall and published via ISA.

Tried connecting from inside the firewall. if i type http://(servername)/exchange, i get teh message that the website i am connecting to needs https:// at the begining.

If i type https://(servername)/exchange, it says the page cannot be displayed.

Cant connect to OWA login page from teh mail server so think this could be where the problem is....

Looking at all the basic IIS settings and checking them. Is there any that could be causing a problem.

I have installed them and think they are working as when they wernt installed i never got the logon page. But now i do.

Right, when i uncheck ssl i dont get a logon page just a logon box. i put my username and password in and it logs on but the page cannot display correctly. the page is white with inbox, sent, etc. down the right with boxes with the red cross in them. So i suspect i aint got the exchange webpages installed correctly......

Have you got all the latest patches and service packs installed onto your exchange server? I know there are several fixes for various problems with OWA. Ours didn't work until we installed SP2 onto our exchange server, now it works like a charm!
