using this app on android phones.

works perfect at home but at school it makes calls but as soon as someone pick up the line cuts out.

in coming and outgoing the same

any know the ports that need changing?

Someone asked me about this a while ago, so I contacted o2 and spoke to more people than I can count, they all claimed that it doesn't use any ports, and that it just works on the internet...

Not actually seen it to monitor what it accesses, but yet another reason I'm avoiding o2 lol...

I think all these apps are probably using the same technologies, possibly not the same ports though.

I'm a Three customer and did spend half an hour trying to research and configure the Three Intouch app. Three claim it uses ports 5060 & 5061 but opening those alone (both UDP & TCP because three couldn't confirm) didn't solve the issue. It's not exactly a high priority job though, so I haven't gone back to it as yet.

We set ours up here, and it was a case of trial and error.

The UDP ports are usually 5060 and 5061 for SIP signalling and 10000 to 20000 for RTP.

Also uses 4040 and 4060 as well for the app on a PC.

cheers mate just sent a request in to change :)

Bit of a bump to this.

We have been trying to get the 3 InTouch app working, it doesn't respect the proxy settings for the connection and tries to get out of the network directly.

We have implemented to following rules on the Firewall and its working now

Current rules are:

Source:
192.168.1.11 (Phone fixed IP)
Destination:
Any
Service:
Tcp/5060
Udp/5060
TCP/5061
UDP/5061
UDP/16000-65535

Source:
192.168.1.11 (Phone fixed IP)
Destination:
17.0.0.0/8 (apple services)
17.172.232.178
172.228.109.246
184.73.227.157
188.31.254.6
188.31.254.9
2.22.139.27

83.166.64.4
92.112.49.26

Tcp/443

This is not a well behaved app that only talks to one or two servers! but it is working now from our site.

Hope this is of use to someone.
