Purchased The Ship multiplayer for $5 yesterday afternoon. The next time i looked at the clock it was 1:30am.

 

Anyone have this game?

 

You geto a point where you dont trust anyone. After killing my guy and killing my murderer i stalk people so they freak out.

Aha, I've been trying to remember that name for ages! It looks so fun. Are there many people playing it? Wouldn't want to buy if multiplayer is dead.

Haven't played it in a long time, put quite a while into that game.

 

We ended up finding all of the little secret paths and all sorts. Nothing better than coming out from behind the vending machine, slapping someone round the noggin with a mannequin arm, and slowly backing into the vending machine again to wait out the timer

Normally get at least two or three good servers.

 

Don't buy if from the steam store. Goto their website and it's $5

Should get some edugeek players on there and have a teamspeak room.

 

If you get it through steam you you get some copies to give away to friends for free. It costs more to buy though.

Wasn't this a Half-Life mod or something yeeeeaaaaars ago? Around the time of Sven Co-Op, Canned Tuna, etc? I remember playing something similar..

 

Is the $5 version from their site redeemable on Steam?

Yeah. I brought it on their site and then got a steam code. Was hoping for some friend codes but looks like that's only available if you gi through steam.

It says 'Optional' but I don't see a way to not do it..

Not sure if you can. My Facebook is just full of junk so didn't mind.

How did you get on?

 

Fell asleep so didnt get on last night.

Mondays late night gaming did me in, im getting old. Used to be able to do all nighters and carry on as normal.

Playing through Single player. It's pretty good!

 

I keep paranoidly (not a word..) changing my appearance.. Probably good practice for when I get round to Multiplayer lol.

Definatly. I try and change each round.

 

Not everyone does it. Makes it so easy if they dont.

 

Played the SP mode for a bit but never like SP modes as they arnt hectic enough.

I'm finding it difficult to understand how real players would be able to 'blend in' in multiplayer mode, though.. The actual NPC's move so unnaturally, surely it will be obvious who isn't AI controlled?

You don't really try to blend, you just identify your target and get there first, while being careful about who's following you.

 

You can kill your hunter iirc.

@Quackers I didn't figure out a way, but I have a sock puppet account because reasons. So I just used that.

 

 

@DMcGuigan Don't you have to talk to your quarry before you get told what they look like, though? So you have to interact with other players, too, which identifies you as 'real'? I think I'm gonna get my butt whipped when I first step in to multiplayer

@Garacesh Not as far as I can remember, aiming / pointing at them tells you their name, as soon as the name matches the target the silhouette in the corner changes.
