Sibelius 7.5 is driving me crazy!

Hi there,

 

we have x4 PCs with this software on and over the past few months we have had issues where the license seems to get screwed up on the machines so we have to go down the road of deleting the contents of c:\ProgramData\Avid\Licenses\Sibelius and then runnign the software as administrator and re activating.

 

However, now I have 2 PC's that just keep coming up with this screen when trying to run Sibelius:

 

 

and then . . .

 

 

Other than what I'm doing above, dos anyone have any other ideas on how to sort this piece of crap out?

When you are activating, are you choosing to do it over the internet or importing the file?

Over the internet. It says that it's activated but when I login as a normal (student or teacher) user the error appears.

 

It's happened on these PCs before and deleting the files and re activating has worked a treat but no more.

Nope. Do I need a special file from Sibelius for that?

Choose the 'activate using another internet connection' option and follow it through.

Just tried that now and it just said error contact Avid Support.

 

So in order to to that I now have to pay $29 or something?

 

This setup with Avid is awful. Sibelius themselves were brilliant.

Have just uninstalled Sibelius and re-installed on these two machines and all is now working again.

Glad to hear you got it working. There is no charge to activate it in that way usually.
