InspireICT Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 In the past we've always used sync crates or trolleys and connected up either a laptop, MacBook, or Mac mini to the trolley/crate directly. Just a thought but, if we placed the trolley/crate next to a network point as it's home and used USB over ethernet adaptors, we could house a mac mini or other in the locked server room and just patch into the correct ports. Has anyone ever tried this? I'm assuming it would take a speed hit but I wonder by how much. Any thoughts appreciated.
