Novalee Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 We have this as a network install. It works on the remaining XP machine (and did on all the others before they were upgraded), but not on Window's 7. On Windows 7 it loads the Splash screen and doesn't move past there. Same for Numbershark. Does anyone know if it's supported on Windows 7?
TechSupp Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Says it is on website, even W8, but suppose depends on version you have, says latest is 5.
Novalee Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 Says it is on website, even W8, but suppose depends on version you have, says latest is 5. Ah - ours is version 3. I'll take a look to see if it specifies.
foofighterjim Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 If I recall version 4 needed an update for Windows 7 compatibility, so the chances of v3 working is slim.
danelliott87 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 We have wordshark v3 on windows 7 working here. From memory i think i had the same issue as you and the way i got around it was to do the standalone install on the machine as opposed to a network install.
bossman Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 We had to move to version 5 which is supported by Windows 7, must say it is brilliant, once installed on the network an the relevant shared folders sorted deployed the client software and wham! The SEN are over the moon with its capabilities and reporting 1
linkazoid Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 We use the network V3 on Windows 7 without any issues. You just need headphones or speakers plugged in. 1
