Smart 6065 board sound volume

Can anyone with these screens tell me what the volume is like via the in built speakers? Good enough for someone at the back of the class to hear? Got one of the earlier E70 screens and the sound volume was terrible unless there was no one else making a noise in classrooms nearby. Had to have additional speakers fitted. Having a few new classroom built and the 6065 boards have been spec'd as the school wants to keep with the Smartnotebook software as we have Smartboards everywhere else.

The speakers are definitely better than the E70 (I was so unimpressed when I heard the E70 at Steljes) but I'd probably still advise on external speakers. We have ours stand mounted in a library and it is just about adequate in there.

Thanks for that, yes I though the speaker volume was terrible, had taken speakers down as it was a Smartboard previously but had to put them back up again. Any ideas about the Clevertouch screens, as they have been mentioned as well, although don't think they thought about the fact that it won't cover licensing for Smartnotebook on them as far as I know.

E70 was indeed terrible! Got to "maximum" volume at about 25% of the adjustment range then no louder after this. Terrible design - no analogue audio output, so hooking up external speakers is not easy. I believe the same limitation on the 4065 etc. The 6065 is better sound-wise, but we installed with the Roth Sub Zero II sound bars, which are really good. Teachers love the sound bar, even if very disappointed with the 6065s!

We have also got the Roth soundbar installed with our new 6065's and yes, the sound is good from it, well worth paying the extra for it and they look alot better than speakers either side of screen. Teachers better be happy with them...if not dont care..I think setup looks good anyway!
