Iain.Faulkner Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Afternoon all, I've got a new user in school with a severe visual impairment. As a result I've been asked to provide him with a customised desktop experience. What I've been asked to provide is large desktop icons and for the magnify tool to run when he logs on. Can anyone recommend the best way to achieve this? Because it's only for one user, I was looking at doing it through GPO or GPP Thanks Iain
TIOAOA Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Currently looking into this myself, I seem to have hit a brick wall with the icons as I restrict access to control panel (for obvious reasons). I will not be defeated though and will post once I figure it out
Steve21 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Used to deploy the regkey settings just to a group with few users in. Increases mouse size/icons/runs magnify options etc. As they're all CurrentUser based won't affect anyone but those users. Steve

Thanks:)
TIOAOA Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Bump number two. A list of those reg keys would be really helpful @Steve21
GRitchie Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Found this which may be useful @TIOAOA - Majorbacon's IT Blog: Customizing your Mouse Cursor Using Group Policy Preferences I had to change the cursor on the DC and then run the wizard as local computer, then reset it back I then use item level targeting so it only goes to a certain security group. Haven't tested yet mind, but that's what I'm trying!
