Everytime i ghost a batch of laptops i have to manually connect to the wireless network we have setup (WPA encrypted). When you have 16 to do this gets time consuming. Anybody know of a way of automating it.

the cleints are are xp pro with sp2.

My method is the 10th post on the first page. It involves using the wireless setup wizard, built into windows XP. You have to trick it that is is running from a USB pen drive by using the subst command to 'map' a drive letter to a folder on the c:\ drive. As I say, I use it on our automated install CD and it's never failed. (yet).

I'll second that, it works well. I also picked that as the best method.

If you don't use the autoit bit (and I never have) then you need no extra programs to make it work, just a couple of ok prompts to answer. Never causes us any problems, we imaged over 100 laptops recently, the wireless setup on all of them was achieved using this.

You can also tweek the batch file to delete itself and the files that have been used as well if you just want to use it for a one time setup.
