Lecture Streaming or Recording

We have a student who will be in ISS for awhile (non-discpline related) and we are trying to figure a way for him to be able to hear his class lectures for each class. I am trying to determine what the best FREE solution is. Should we have the teacher record and then he can play it back or is there a good "live" stream that we could do. I know there are a lot of choices but wanted to see if any of you use something that might work for us?
