SQRL Authentication and the future of passwords.

Whilst reading a Spiceworks thread about the future of passwords/security/authentication I came across the SQRL Authentication proposal.. I'm no huge security nut so I might be missing something but this actually sounds incredibly useful..

 

As useful as they are, I've long thought that passwords aren't 'good enough' on their own and 2FA is definitely the way to go wherever possible. Something like a Password combined with a Keycard, RFID token, NFC jewellery etc (a friend of mine actually uses an RFID ring to unlock his phone which is quite handy.), but in the interest of security all the things we implement seem to be more of a hindrance or annoyance to the average end-user who doesn't really care too much about account security (usually I find through simple complacency than anything else) and as such they never get off the ground too frequently.
