Notes on posting – Please read

Recently we have noticed that we have had to deal with an increasing amount of threads that have either been posted in the wrong forum or have very vague thread titles, so please take note of the guidelines below:

 

Give your thread a relevant title:

 

All too often we come across a post simply marked as ‘Help’ or something equally vague.

If you want member to help you quickly please give your thread a name that actually reflects your problem such as ‘Server 2012 Group Policy not applying’ or ‘Users cannot access Exchange via Outlook 2013’.

This will enable members who know about such things to help you much faster than simply stumbling across your problem.

 

Post in the correct forum:

 

This is a particular problem that takes up quite a bit of our time moving threads to the correct place. Please ensure that if you are posting a problem it goes into the relevant forum.

I know we have a lot of forums covering a very wide variety of subject areas but asking for advice on wireless products in the internet forum just causes work for us and often leaves your issue ignored.

Similarly, do not post technical problems or ask for product recommendations in Behind The Red Door as this forum is hidden from non-members and not indexed by Google meaning that it could remain hidden from those who could help you.

Also please do not use the General Chat forum for product advice or problems.

Keep them all in the technical forums.

If you can’t find a relevant forum try using the search function (it really is very good y’know) to locate similar threads.

 

Now, we know that some forums are out of date and some now have names that really don’t reflect the technologies discussed – Netbooks, PDA and Phones is a good example; who saw tablets and smartphones coming eh? – but we shall be renaming/merging many of them on our move to a new platform.
