Moodle Hosting

Hello All,

 

After realising that our current Moodle host will not provide a back-up database to us without an unreasonable charge, and that they do not provide any tools for us to do so ourselves. I am investigating other hosting companies vs. hosting ourselves in-house.

What do other people do, any recommendations gratefully received?

Just about to move ours to hosted internally but managed by an external company (Overnet Data). That way we're still fully in control of the data, backups etc. (Their suggestion)

We host ours in house - you have complete responsibility (which may or may not be a good thing!)
