DaveWalton Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Hi all This is a very strange issue We have a number of Mac who store work on a NAS When the users open a particular folder in "View as icons" it is blank (see pic) However if I change the view to list it is shows all that is in there (see next pic) Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can put it right - with a lot of folders list view isn't ideal. Ironically if I change the folder name it shows in list view for a couple of days before going back to blank iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
Quackers Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) Have you tried putting it in Icon mode, changing the view options (right click show view options) and setting it as the defaults, it looks like the icons are just off screen and need a tidy up. I normally get those Clean Up options when i have something off screen. Edited October 21, 2014 by Quackers
DaveWalton Posted October 21, 2014 Author Posted October 21, 2014 yes ive tried that :-( its only that 1 folder is affected
Quackers Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Try deleting the .DS_Store file within that folder, its hidden but keeps all the settings for how to display that folder. 1
DaveWalton Posted October 21, 2014 Author Posted October 21, 2014 That worked :-) I will monitor it and see if it goes back to how it was
