[sccm 2012] Creating virtual images

Is there anything stopping me from creating new workstations images on a vmware platform then capturing them and re deploying them out to our normal workstations around the school?

The main advantage is you can take a snapshot pre sysprep.

I do it all the time. Just remember to uninstall VMware Tools if you have installed it before capture.

 

I had a few issues with the tools installed when the image was deployed.
