jjohnsoncantell Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Greetings, Is there any easy way to remove a user from all security permissions on nested folders? I have users in folder permissions who were manually added as opposed to part of a group and this has been done on multiple folders. I would like to remove that user without affecting any other permissions or inheritance. Is this possible? Thanks James
SHimmer45 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 icalcs can do this without damaging the existing permissions and it has a backup feature in case there is a problem.
jjohnsoncantell Posted October 23, 2014 Author Posted October 23, 2014 I dont believe ive used that before, please could you point me in the direction of where I can find it. Im assuming it would have usage instructions? Thanks
SHimmer45 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 on my win8 pro machine at the command prompt typing icacls /? give the basic help or the Technet page Icacls 1
