My apologies if I'm not meant to post about myself when someone asks such as question (I know I can't blatantly advertise, but when someone asks I think I can?)

 

Anywho, depends on what you want. I offer web design services and have done the odd school site, but this is set to grow as I'm working closely with another IT provider in the area.

 

I freely admit, I make use of high quality templates, but by doing so I don't put the prices up, but it allows me to keep my prices down, plus I have a vast range to choose from so not every site looks the same (though having said that, I've had a few clients all go "ooo we like that one" recently, but the sites look different enough).

 

My philosophy about it, having worked with schools and the third sector for a good number of years, is that there's always something better to be spending money on, and with budgets often already stretched if the school doesn't need an all singing all dancing bespoke website package, then why have a company swoop in and tell them they do.

I don't know if he will mind but Steve Hill of this very Parish did not only one for my school (which he continues to maintain and offer top quality hosting on) but he also did the same service for a couple of clubs I'm involved with as well. He has, I know, put together several other sites for various clubs and charities as well. Many for free some for a minimal fee.

 

Top man and a great chap to interact with as well.
