MatthewL Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Hi there, We have a number of people we support looking to setup scanning with Integris using MFD, what do we need to know and how would it work, does it scan straight to the application or does it poll on a folder and pick the jobs up from there. If somone can give me some insight to this and I can see if we can get the MFD's working in the fashion they want. Cheers
spadam Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 We use Integris here but I'm not sure what you mean by scanning as it's not something I've come across. Searching the help pages for scan or scanning comes up blank too. What is it they want to scan and where to?
MatthewL Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 I've never seen the product, just someone was looking to see if it could scan. Will do some digging.
ntm1275 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 There is no direct scanning in to Integris G2/S2, but you can scan things and save them as various file types like .doc .jpg etc and then upload those documents to a student record within G2/S2 using the built in document storage functionality
GREED Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) G2 does not allow any 3rd party application to write data in any format to the database... as far as I know... so the answer is no. Until RM make a change to their API that is (prays). Edited October 1, 2014 by GREED because I cannot spell!

MatthewL Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Thanks for that, just what I wanted to know.
GREED Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Would you like to add a couple of words to that sentence @GREED? It doesn't make sense I'm comfortable with my illiteracy! Changed.
ntm1275 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 @GREED is correct There is no write back facility in to G2/S2 from a 3rd Party - much to the annoyance of us Integris users
GREED Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Really not good in 2014 not to have a decent API for a cloud MIS...
