An opportunity for a Senior ICT Customer SupportEngineer / Network Manager (MS Server 2008,2012 / Win 7/8, AD, DHCP, VMware,Citrix etc) to provide lead onsite IT school support as part of an IT managedservice with one of the ‘UK’s Top IT Employers’*.

RM Education is the leading provider of ICT software &services to the Education sector and employs over 2000 staff. Working withinRM's BSF (‘Building Schools for the Future’) IT Programme in Middlesbrough, theSenior ICT Customer Support Engineer / Network Manager will be part of a coreteam delivering a comprehensive ICT Managed Service against SLAs to secondary schools.

The Senior ICT Customer Support Engineer / Network Managerwill be based at one school site as the technical lead, but will also build strongrelationships with the school leadership and teaching staff, ensure contractualcompliance and improved operational efficiency. You'll have a large degree of ownership and ifappropriate, may also be required to assign tasks to more juniorEngineers/Technicians. You’ll also benefit from the support of a wider regionalteam as well as technical experts at Head Office.

This is a varied IT lead support role in a very rewardingenvironment that requires the building of strong relationships with the schoolstaff. If you’re a Senior ICT Support Engineer / Network Manager with broadtechnical problem solving skills, are a great communicator with a proactiveattitude and ultimately get a real buzz out of going the extra mile forcustomers, this is the role for you.

The Individual

· 2nd / 3rd line IT implementation & supportexperience including MS Server 2008/2012/XP/7/8, AD, Group policies, DNS, DHCP,network infrastructure, VMware, Citrix, CC4, switches etc, ideally within acustomer-focused environment

· Strong problem solving abilities. Excellentcommunication, customer handling and inter-personal skills

· Strong planning, organising and prioritisingabilities. Target focused. Flexible to cope with change, be proactive and adaptquickly to a developing type of service delivery

· Prior school ICT support experience as a seniortechnician or a ‘hands-on’ Network Manager may be useful, but isn’t critical.

· Flexible to visit other schools across the localMiddlesbrough area as required
