Shadow_Walker Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Having a slight problem with xibo again!!! I have created a design and when i use the preview it is fine but when i go on the xibo client it displays the old design for some reason. Any reason why this would happen?
bladedanny Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 The client checks for a new design at set intervals. I think the default is about 5 minutes. Closing and reopening the client should force it to get the new layout.

bladedanny Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Already reset the client. thanks Is the new layout a new layout or has the old layout been edited. If it's a new layout has it been scheduled to that screen or set as the default for that screen? Could it also be a permissions / space issue on the client?

I did have another test one but that one i retired and is not in the scheduler whilst the default one is.

Shadow_Walker Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 What does the Xibo admin interface say for the status of the screen? Ok i think you may have found the problem. In the displays tab there are none listed for some reason.
Shadow_Walker Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 Ok now i can't get a display onto xibo. I register it with the xibo client options and it says "displaying is awaiting licensing approval from an administrator." but i don't get anything when i go to the xibo admin centre.
mrdolan Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Which client is it (windows?). Is the server address and code correct? I have had similar problems when testing xibo and found that uninstalling the client, deleting the reference to it on the xibo devices list and then reinstalling and registering the client with the server worked?

I know the text region can have a transparent background but I've not found a way to remove a websites BG for example. I believe the Linux python client can remove backgrounds though.
