mrickford-rmeducation Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 (edited) An opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly customer focused ICT Support Engineer (1st/2nd line) to provide onsite ICT and customer service support to a Newham secondary school as part of a large managed service with one of the ‘UK’s Top IT Employers’*. Working within RM's BSF - ‘Building Schools for the Future’ Programme, the Customer Support Engineer will be predominately based at one school as the sole engineer tackling 1st/2nd line support issues from server level down to mobile devices (MS Server 2008,2012, Windows 7/8, AD, DNS, Apple etc) but utilising RM’s mobile engineers & Head Office support as appropriate. Just as critically, the ICT Customer Support Engineer will be the onsite ambassador for RM Education, communicating regularly with the school leadership, proactively delivering exceptional customer service to staff and students and ensuring that service delivery targets / SLAs are achieved. This is a varied IT support role in a very rewarding environment that also requires the building of strong relationships with the school staff. The Individual * IT support experience including MS Server 2008/2012, Windows 7, 8, AD, DNS etc, ideally within a customer-oriented IT environment * Experience of maintaining a range of networking and standalone hardware, and an ability to keep abreast of technology changes and innovation * Strong problem solving abilities and excellent communication, customer handling, influencing and inter-personal skills * Strong planning, organising and prioritising abilities.
