Webcam for new build

I've set up a top of the range Logitech webcam on a laptop to film our new build...trouble is the Logitech software is a bit crap and there aren't many options

 

What webcam software is available that will let us film the build progress and also ideally time lapse the footage (So the build 'takes 10 minutes' to happen if that makes sense!)

Yawcam. Very simple to setup. Basic features but works well.
