It is like the people on a market stall who will sell an individual melon for £3, but 3 of them for £10. You buy 3 over a 2 purchases, and spend £9, and think you beat the system, but in reality, you encouraged the sale and lining of their pockets.

My local market stall has the multi buy purchase cheaper then if you were to buy lots of single ones. so one item would be £4 and 3 items would be £10. I dont think Ive seen a market stall sell as you have described. Ive seen it like it in shops tho
