TES login failure on IE11 on one laptop

This is driving me mad. On one laptop in school (Windows 7 and IE11) we can't login to the TES website. I have tried both the teacher's login and my own login, and each time we can enter our login details and they are accepted but we just get thrown back to the TES home page and we are not shown as logged in or able to download resources.

 

TES login on Firefox works OK on same laptop. Other staff laptops with same OS and IE work OK with TES login.

 

So far I have tried the following:

 

Add TES to pop up allow list.

Add TES to trusted sites.

Updated Flash and Shockwave.

Updated Java.

Disabled SMART Ink.

 

Temporarily asking the teacher to use Firefox. May have to make that her default browser if this carries on. Which would be fine except I don't want this to start being replicated elsewhere and not be able to use GP to send out proxy settings etc for folks to use the internet.

add the website to the compatibility settings and you should be fine. ie11 breaks a lot of websites like this

yes ie11 has issues with some sites like this including the crb checking site. adding it to the compatibility view list fixed it for us.

Sorry, folks, but I'd already tried that and forgotten post add that to the list of things I'd already tried. Just been back to check that the Compatibility View settings included tes.co.uk, and they do and it's still not letting me log in!!!

Yes. Still stumped. On another IE 11 machine, can log in fine to TES.

 

To recap I have so far tried the following:

Checked time and time zone are correct.

Are you using smoothwall by any chance we had this last year and I'm sure the article to fix it was on here let me try and dig it out

Have you tried resetting the advanced settings under internet options / advanced tab?

You could try fiddler and see where its failing.

Any chance your internet explorer setting by group policy preferences. Had the same issue. You need to go on your internet zone security settings and set everything correctly. Just compare them with your own laptop or something to get them right. It's like using internet explorer preferences resets all of the standard settings even if your only setting home page and proxy.
