jcollings Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 We have 1 Smartboard that is causing nightmares - everytime you orientate it (with the nine point or 20 point thing) within 10 mins it's miles out again. Anyone else come across this or have any bright ideas? Cheers
FN-GM Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 How long is the USB cable is it over 5 meters? Z
outeast Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 you may just need to flash the firmware to make sure you are on the latest update. Sometimes board ship and dont have the latest firmware... if it is not that, sometimes it can be a bad serial controller card... you can get a replacement easily for that too.
Heebeejeebee Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 We have a couple of boards like that. Co-incidentally (?) on these boards, if you draw a straight line close to the edge of the board it bends in all kinds of directions. Smart say: Make sure you're on the latest software, flash the firmware then re-boot the board (button on the right hand side). If that doesn't work contact the distributor for replacement. HBJB
enjay Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Sounds like you've both got a duff circuit in the board somewhere - we had that, and got a replacement under warranty.
SimpleSi Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 (button on the right hand side) Buton??? What button? What Board 5xx or 6xx series? :?: regards Simon
Heebeejeebee Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 6xx series - on the right hand side behind the board on the board where the USB lead fits in there's a button which you'll need to to push in with a paper clip .... at least there is on ours. HBJB
