davyboi Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 (edited) Hello, I have a teacher with a personal MAC. She has downloaded Smart Notebook 14 onto it which we don't have a license for so has been using the trial version. She asked me to activate it so I explained that a license is required for version 14 and offered to downgrade it to 11.4. However any version I install less that 14 just does not work. It says it has installed successfully but as soon as I launch notebook it throws up an error. If I reinstall version 14 that works fine! Anyone any ideas what might be causing it? I followed the guide here https://smarttech.com/us/Support/Browse+Support/Support+Documents/KB2/117343.aspx for removing any other files although I notice the guide is for an older version. Thanks Dave Edited September 17, 2014 by davyboi
furby Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Tried the uninstaller? Might be more thorough http://downloads01.smarttech.com/media/sitecore/en/support/product/esi/esi2014mac/guideinstallesi2014mac09sep14.pdf
davyboi Posted October 23, 2014 Author Posted October 23, 2014 I managed to get this sorted. I emailed smart tech support and they gave me a link to download the smart cleanup tool for MAC. Should anyone else have the same problem it can be downloaded here http://downloads.smarttech.com/techsupport/k1fi2rh8stf3eja6kjs1sdl0wa/Clean-ups%20and%20Logs/SMART%20Cleanup_Mac.zip
