Paxton Paxlock

Anyone used the Paxton Net2 Paxlocks? (Not the normal ones)

 

Any thoughts on them? Good/Bad?

Tested them, they looked really good, but couldn't get the funding through to fit them!

Yeah we use them, do what they say on the tin, staff don't have keys, there ID cards act do the doors and the printers! Support is good, just find a good installer

Paxton support is next to none, though I did find a good installer, and have now done the installers course myself...

Wow they're expensive and it looks like you have to have the wireless points for them as well?

We already have paxton stuff, these are half the price of the full "traditional" devices.

Yes you need the air bridges but you can be clever with your distribution, the locks are expensive but they make my life so much easier, I can lock and unlock from any ware put them on timers etc site probably see biggest savings on keys and lockd

Makes sense if you already have Paxton then

 

I know the costs as when I priced up Paxton versus Salto Paxton didn't have these available.

We use them on about 1/3 of our doors and they've been fine, apart from one belligerent lock which constantly broke down. The installers reckon they replaced it, after the initial failure but it kept on refusing to work. Since we haven't had a problem for a while, I guess they finally did replace it. I suppose they were trying to save money. The other doors use ASSA locks, which I find easier to change the battery in.

How much are you paying for SALTO per door? Works out around £450 for a door with these Paxlocks (including the wireless bridge), from initial figures we've been given.
