Mac OsX Mavericks Keychain bug

Hi all

We are having a few issues with our iMacs running the latest version of mavericks.

What happens is that when ever a domain account logs in an error comes up saying various different things can't access the the login keychain and prompts them for a password but the only password that works is the local admin account and not there password.

 

Reading up it does seem that its quite a common issue with mavericks but all the fixes people have recommended don't seem to work. i have gone into the keychain library and deleted the folder as apple themselves suggest and that didn't work, I have tried deleteing the login key chain so as the user logs in it creates a new one that didn't work so finally i ran keychain first aid and that didn't do anything so now i am at a bit of a loss.

 

If anyone has any suggestions i'd really appreciate it

Are the domain accounts running local profiles with symbolic links created to there home directory folders such as Documents or are they roaming profiles? We use the former and had this issue, but it was fixed by doing what you already said, we delete the contents of the folder /System/Library/User Template/english.lproj/Library/Keychains

It's important to know that you delete the content of that folder, but not the entire folder. If you delete the folder then Finder will create a dummy file on login and you will see the issue you've been having there. Try making an empty folder at /System/Library/User Template/english.lproj/Library/Keychains if you don't already have one on the machines.
