Does your school use a 3D Projector?

Are you using a true 3D projector with glasses etc if so could you advise me with make/models.

 

I've seen one so far NEC PA671W. That does 3D with max screen size 500" and 6700 lumens, about £3.5k

What sort of screen size are you looking at? That's a fairly serious projector.

 

Lots of classroom projectors are now capable of 3d as a fairly standard feature, so you could be looking £300ish upwards. Depends on what you are trying to achieve, brightness, resolution etc.

We are after super brightness, screen size of around 120", 4k ready, 3D

I'm glad to say that as of yet we haven't followed this hugely expensive fad. Given the passage of time it will no doubt develop into a very useful learning tool but in my opinion currently it's just an expensive toy that few actual students will learn or otherwise benefit from.

 

In the case of my KS3/4 school if the teaching staff could advance beyond using the simpler elements of MS Office and a few online tools toward using the full features of both Office and our Adobe suite I'd feel we had made a huge step toward providing a better learning option for our students!

We have one - it was provided a few years ago under some sort of scheme. It was used well for the first six months, I think it's used once a year now, for a PE class looking as a 3D model of a heart.
