Microlib / MLS - Update student year group

Hi all,

 

Does anyone have any experience of playing around with Microlib?

 

I'm trying to update the year groups of our students - I haven't worked out how to do it in bulk yet (Aside from selecting / flagging multiple and then updating their year groups - however this would mean I then have to sort out new / old year groups!)

 

Am still looking for a way so may find it!

I think you do it with an import file generated from your MIS system. Check their site for a template to download.

 

I use MLS Connect - does an auto sync with our MIS every night.

Just done this myself, don't know if it was a hiccup in our system but I found that initially, hardly any of the students in my new upload were automatically matched. As it was late Friday afternoon, I left all the students in the 'Intake' stage and went home. Logged back in to have another crack this morning and the vast majority of students had been matched and updated, just a handful needed matching manually and all the new Y7s were sat waiting to be transferred.

 

TL;DR - if they don't match straight away, leave it over night.

If you use SIMS.net you need a patch from your support vendor too - Patch 19813

 

You still need to import them from the intake table too.
