We have found that our new Smart 60wi Interactive Projectors take 7 seconds to go to freeze mode. Our teachers use this a lot and our previous projectors (Epson non interactive) would go into freeze mode as soon as you hit the button on the remote.

Anyone know why it takes Smart 60wi 7 seconds to freeze?

Hi Fiza

I will be interested to hear the response, we've supplied and installed a fair few and not heard anything like this.

Thanks

Lisa

Have you installed the 60wi model? If so is it 7 seconds to freeze the screen or is this something peculiar to us?

Hi Fiza

Its not a complaint we've had come back is the best way to word it, its not to say that our customers haven't encountered this or possibly they do not use the freeze button as much. We have had no customer call us to say it HAS been an issue, so either is hasn't happened, they haven't noticed it but it has happened or they are not using the "freeze" button (the later seems unlikely).

Therefore I cannot say whether it is your projectors or just a standard. I am very interested to hear the outcome however.

Thanks

Lisa

Hi again Fiza

Just had a chat in the office, I know teachers are not often a fan of it and I'm sure you have considered it, but you could run the projector as a second screen for the time being until a resolve is found

Thanks

Just an update on this. We found that if you press the "hide" button followed by the "enter" button on the remote, It freezes almost instantly. You still have to cycle through from blank to display again but its the freeze taking 7 seconds that was the issue. BTW no one from Smart or Steljes told us this. We found it by trial and error!!

That's really useful to know. I'll try it out on my projector on Monday. The 7 second wait is annoying.
