IE11 / Google Homepage

Recently with IE11 being automatically being pushed by our WDS and replacing IE9 we have seen issues where first the proxy setting isn't getting picked up and secondly Google which is set as our home page isn't getting picked up and with the latter all attempts to run in compatibility mode and set as trusted sites etc don't have any effect. Any suggestions please?

I think that you need server 2012 for IE11 to get the proxy info as the Internet explorer maintenance GPO no longer works with IE11 when using server 2008. You could use the registry to hardcode the proxy info via a GPO but I found that was just easier to make a custom IE11 image using the Internet explorer administration kit, and push out that via GP.

The above is right. The old GPO settings from IE 7/8/9 no longer work on 10/11 and upwards. You now have to use preferences, but you need to have the updated ADMX files from a machine with IE11 on it (or from a Server 2012/2012 R2) machine. You can also use the Admin Kit as above to create your own IE11 installer - but as you are pushing via WDS (assume you might mean WSUS) - then this wont necessarily help you.

Late to the party, but that looks promising! I've been avoiding it, but now need to deploy IE10. Question before I get started with IEAK: Will all of the user's favourites get wiped out if I push out IE10 with my own settings for favourites, links and important URLs?

Server 2008 r2, win 7 pro clients, lightspeed filtering, so no proxy requirements.
