Personalisation Locking

Hi guys,

I've sent out a group policy to disable personal use of themes and so that pupils can't adjust the colours etc.

 

For some reason, some machines are defaulting to the classic explorer window and some aren't picking up on the aero setting etc.

 

This is down to the user account it seems.

 

However, under the student OU, the policy is set like this:

Could anyone tell me why some are not complying with this policy???

Thats an odd one. I do not specify a theme here and the PC's use Aero by default if the GFX supports it.

However I've got OP's issue on MY account... hasn't annoyed me enough to look into it though.

Same happened here once, deleted local profile, logged back in, all good.

Nope, one classroom I've just re-imaged and it's doing this problem still.

It's as though it's a network account issue rather than a local issue?

It affects a lot but not all, it's strange!

I'd re-create a users roaming profile and see if its a profile issue.

What would happen if I did this? Would anything attached to that user (downloads etc.) be lost?

Also, might I add, there are a LOT of accounts like this, so I can't actually know which are problematic and which aren't :/
