tech_guy Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Yeah I think they must be talking about it via MSN as we had them all on it last week. Now it's blocked the lads are all playing the rugby game on the sports section of the bbc site so we've blocked that too :-)

Osprey Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 The ultimate solutions to these problems? - all teachers play these games in lessons until pupils realise that they are not getting an education and they protest by starting to read course books, completing their work, etc. - you run a GCSE course on games, it becomes acceptable to play games and therefore uncool so kids stop playing. - you pull the plug on all of the computers and go back to paper based lessons (and hangman!)
Guest aliv25 Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 I always seem to block sites that have line rider but the next day a new version of line rider is always getting played and to be honest some of the kids here can draw up some serious courses. im not going to lie, ive tried the game myself at home and it takes some skill to complete a course, if you manage to build a decent enough without the man falling to his death!

OutLawTorn Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Most of ours have moved away from linerider, and are playing Armadillo Run off USB drives or trying to run it off their user drives. Funnily enough, it never lasts on their user drives long (which sucks for them, since they have to re-do the same levels over and over again).

It's quite addictive.

Dont know about you guys but do you also find that the kids also love to play Bubble Struggle? I've seen a few kids on level 24 and Im not going to lie, I've tried at home and managed to only get up to level 6?!!!

Strangely, CBBC is still the most popular game site here, primarily amongst the Sixth Formers...

el8linuxel8 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 one of my favourite work past times is to take control of their session and hold the up key (or something similar until they crash), then repeat until they realise somethings broken...even better when they are on level 10 or something :twisted:
