SpuffMonkey Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Hi - as per title - my teenage lad has got temporary work in the summer hols and wants to buy a laptop that will handle games - he'll only have about £750 to spend - so anyone know of any half decent ones for that price? Cheers
siuko Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Depending on what exactly he is playing (as some games require higher specs) Something like this might just about be ok > 15.6" 1080P MSI GE60 2PL-270UK,Core i5-4200H,1TB 7200RPM,8GB DDR3,Geforce 850M 2GB, DVD, Win 8.1 - 9S7-16GH11-270 - Scan.co.uk Gaming and cheap laptops doesnt normally fit very well - and those msi ones seem about the cheapest good gaming ones Not actually got one myself - but if I could afford it I would get msi

JLambert97 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I wouldn't recommend going cheap for gaming. Especially if your going to buy a laptop. I would buy a Desktop PC for gaming. If you are dead set on it being a laptop though. Don't go cheap.
SpuffMonkey Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 Yeah - those were pretty much my words to him - but...you know...kids! He's on a limited budget and wants a laptop as he intends to go off to Uni next year. He's pretty much settled on one of these now...PC Specialist Cosmos II 15.6″ Notebook Review | eTeknix so we'll see how it goes!
